CAMP INFORMATION
CAMP OVERVIEW

BLAKE Basketball Camp is designed to offer boys and girls of all skill levels, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball (defense, dribbling, passing, rebounding, and shooting) in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. After a fun filled week of hoops, our goal is for each camper to see improvement, and leave with the skills and drills needed to continue to develop their game.
CAMP HIGHLIGHTS

Sessions are co-ed and led by the James Hubert Blake basketball coaching staff.

High school and college-aged counselors/coaches

Boys and Girls, ages 8 - 14 (entering 2nd grade fall 2026 - entering 9th grade fall 2026)

Every camper competes at the appropriate level - 2 or 3 leagues (NBA, NCAA, HIGH SCHOOL)​

NBA: Ages 12 - 14 (7th - Entering 9th grade) ​

NCAA: Ages 10 - 12 (4th - 6th grade)

HIGH SCHOOL: Ages 8 - 9 (Entering 2nd grade - 3rd grade)

Note: The ages/grades of each league listed above are the ideal scenario. The number of leagues and camper placement may have to be adjusted based on overall camp enrollment size.

2 games per day (8 regular season games with playoffs on Friday)

Championship Friday (trophies, awards, prizes, etc.)

Daily Contests (Knockout, Hot Shot, Free Throw Contest, 1 vs 1, and 3 vs 3)

Campers listen to weekly guest speakers and get individual instruction

Campers will go home with a report card that analyzes their game

Every camper gets a free BLAKE Basketball Camp t-shirt

Snacks are for sale throughout the day (Pizza, Gatorade, granola bars, fruit snack, chips, and cookies)
